Terms & Conditions – The English Larder Company
These are the Terms and Conditions of The English Larder Company , Lincolnshire NG34 7LE, trading as The English Larder Company | Unit 17a, Elms Farm, Caythorpe Heath, Grantham, NG32 3HD.
General
‘Client’ is any person who has contacted The English Larder Company requesting information, or who has entered into a Contract with The English Larder Company for the provision of handcrafted furniture (the Furniture).
‘Contract’ – The legal agreement between The English Larder Company and the Client for the provision of Furniture under these Terms and at the Price agreed.
‘The Website’ – www.theenglishlardercompany.co.uk
‘The Price’ – The sum payable for the provision of the Furniture ordered by the Client.
‘The Delivery Charge’ – The sum payable for the delivery of the Furniture from the Unit to the address specified in writing by the Client.
‘Payment’ – can be by BACS, debit and credit card or if through the Website by Stripe.
‘Delivery Period’ – the time from the date of the Contract to delivery to the address specified by the Client.
‘Days’ – All the days in a week including Bank Holidays.
‘The Unit’ – is the premises at Unit 17a Elms Farm, Frieston Heath, Grantham, Lincs NG32 3HD or such other premises as The English Larder Company shall advise the Client.
These Terms and Conditions represent the whole of the agreement between The English Larder Company and the Client. Any changes must be agreed in writing by The English Larder Company.
The Contract
The Contract is made when the Client has placed an order with sufficient detail for the Furniture to be produced, paid the Price and Delivery Charge, and The English Larder Company has accepted the order in writing.
Once made, the Contract cannot be cancelled as each item is made to order.
The Contract can only be amended within 48 hours of being made. After this time, production will have commenced.
If The English Larder Company cannot accept your order, you will be informed as soon as possible and any payments refunded.
If the Client fails to provide necessary details, they must supply them promptly. Any delay will extend the Delivery Period, which the Client accepts.
The Furniture
Details of furniture items and options are shown on the Website.
Descriptions and images are provided in good faith but may vary slightly due to screen settings and the handcrafted nature of the products.
The Client accepts that no item will be identical to images displayed. Any concerns must be raised before entering a Contract.
Furniture is handmade using natural materials. Minor variations, blemishes, or inconsistencies may occur and are acceptable if not visible from one metre.
The Price
The Price and Delivery Charge must be paid before the Contract is formed unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Delivery
The Client will be advised of the Delivery Period when the Contract is made.
Any delays or changes will be communicated, and a revised Delivery Period may be agreed.
Furniture will be delivered by a Courier. Delivery dates will be arranged with the Client.
Delivery times are not guaranteed.
If the Client fails to accept delivery on the agreed date, a £60 re-delivery fee will apply.
The Client must ensure safe and suitable access for delivery, including sufficient space and removal of hazards.
The Client is responsible for ensuring the route is accessible for large delivery vehicles.
Couriers are not responsible for damage unless caused by negligence and are not required to remove footwear.
The Client must retain packaging until formal acceptance of the Furniture.
Delivery must be acknowledged in writing. Any issues must be reported immediately with supporting evidence.
The English Larder Company will follow up after delivery for confirmation of acceptance.
Delivery charges are as stated on the Website or confirmed at the time of order.
If a third-party courier is used, The English Larder Company accepts no responsibility once goods leave their control.
“Free Nationwide Delivery” may exclude certain locations where surcharges apply.
Client Rights
The Client does not have cancellation rights under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, as items are made to specification.
If the Furniture is believed to be faulty, the Client must notify The English Larder Company promptly and allow inspection if required.

Limitation of Liability
The English Larder Company shall not be liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, war, government actions, labour disputes, or supplier failures.
Liability is limited to the Price, Delivery Charge, and return costs if applicable.
The Company is not liable for indirect or consequential losses.
For business purchases, no liability is accepted for loss of profits, goodwill, or business losses.
Nothing excludes liability for death, personal injury, or fraud.
Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in designs, materials, and website content remain with The English Larder Company.
Unauthorised copying, reproduction, or use is prohibited and may result in legal action.
Severance
If any provision is deemed unenforceable, the remaining Terms remain valid.
Waiver
Failure to enforce any right does not waive future rights.
Transfer
The Client may not transfer rights under the Contract to a third party.
The Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
